films:

Kingdom of Heaven

A great looking 'epic' movie about the Crusades set in Europe and the Middle East. I've enjoyed a lot of movies like this one and the cinematography in this one is superb. It's from Ridley Scott who directed Gladiator so you'll know what to expect.

I'm not sure that Orlando Bloom is as strong in this as Russell Crowe was, but it’s still full of great characters (including Jeremy Irons and Liam Neeson), and some fantastic action scenes. The siege is particularly spectacular.

Wedding Crashers

This film made me laugh! It's really good fun. Basically two guys spend their time gate-crashing weddings and then looking for the female company! Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson clearly had a lot of fun making this and it shows. It's very accessible and a highly entertaining way to spend a couple of hours.

Good, funny, energetic entertainment and you can certainly watch it again!

Scary Movie
Scary Movie is a very funny movie. It takes the piss out of all the teen horror movies. It's lots of fun.

There are more jokes than a story line. It's just a movie where you laugh alot. You may not remember the whole movie, but you remember laughing alot.

I think it's definitely a movie worth seeing for a laugh.

Charlie's Angels
Charlie's Angels was a big dissapointment for me. I didn't think it was funny or fun. It was badly filmed. There was no story line, so there were these long combat scenes that had didn't make any sense. Seemed like the combat scenes were there just to fill up time. They had no relevance to the rest of the movie.

I didn't think the music they used in particular scenes fit with the movie at all. It was quite empty. I didn't think it gelled well at all.

I felt that they tried to take a 70's show and modernise it, with a few things from the 70's thrown in. It didn't flow. I would have preferred it all in the 70's or all modern. Not a bit of both.

Having said this, some friends of mine liked it...so each to his own!

Eyes Wide Shut
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It was great.

The cinematography, the images in this movie was brilliant. The way it was lit and the camera angles were excellent. The way the camera followed the characters. It was really well shot.

What was very interesting about the movie was no matter how heavy the movie was, the couple never cheated on each other. They didn't even kiss anybody else. That was an interesting twist. Even though the movie was very decadent, it still showed two people that, in the end, they didn't cheat on each other.

An interesting and enjoyable movie.
